3 Ways to Improve Your Smile!
If you are unhappy with the appearance of your smile, it's time to visit your dental home. There are a variety of great treatments we offer that can help you to get the smile that you’ve always wanted, from fixing gaps to removing stains, and they don't have to cost an arm and a leg!

Teeth Whitening
Over time, most of us experience stains and discoloration to our teeth. Smoking, certain medications, and eating staining foods can all contribute to discoloration. However, our teeth whitening process allows us to improve the appearance of your smile, either with an in-office procedure or by providing you with a system to use at home. Teeth whitening tends to be one of the most affordable options, and can significantly improve the youthfulness of your smile, even with just one application!

Cosmetic Dental Bonding
Bonding is a fairly simple way to improve the appearance of your teeth if there are gaps between them, and it can also be used for chips, breaks, stains, and cracks. We use a special tooth-colored bonding material to fill in imperfections, and as it hardens, it can be shaped in order to match the original shape of your tooth. When cared for properly, bonding can last for several years. Bonding material cannot be "whitened" with tooth whitening products, however we can often match the shade of the bonding material to your teeth. This is why we will often recommend whitening your teeth first before applying bonding material or using dental crowns to enhance your smile.

Veneers
Veneers are applied by dentists with extensive cosmetic training and can also be used to correct gaps, chips, permanent stains, and teeth that are slightly crooked. Veneers are customized porcelain shells that will cover up the front of your teeth to improve the shape and color.

What to Expect During Gum Disease Reversal
If you get gum disease, the sooner you get it treated, the better. If we catch it early enough, we can even reverse the damage caused by gum disease. During treatment, you will see signs that the damage is being undone. Here are a few things to expect.

• The color of your gums will go from bright red back to a healthy pink
• Your gums will stop bleeding
• Your teeth should look healthier when you brush
• Typically, tooth sensitivity decreases, too

If you have sensitive, red, or bleeding gums and you think you may have gum disease, call our office. We are here to help you back to a healthy smile!

Will Braces Change the Shape of Your Face?
Teens and adults alike are often concerned with how braces will affect their appearance after treatment, including the shape of their faces. Braces work to change the positioning of the teeth, and in turn, this is almost certain to have an effect on the structure of the face. If you have an overbite or underbite, orthodontics can correct the problem, and the end result could be better facial symmetry, shape, and appearance.

Braces are crucial in changing the problem of misaligned teeth. This orthodontic device can lead to subtle changes in the facial profile or jawline, which could become more noticeable with time. If you have concerns about your facial shape and how braces may impact it, give us call today.
